Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Outside Sales Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients in the building and construction industry. You will be the face of Prime Builders Supply, representing our brand, products, and services to a diverse range of customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and visiting potential clients on-site.
Client Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, providing them with excellent service, and understanding their business needs.
Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our product offerings, including lumber, roofing materials, siding, windows, and other building supplies, to effectively communicate benefits and features to customers.
Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth.
Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on sales activities, customer feedback, and market conditions to the sales manager.
Customer Support: Provide after-sales support, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an outside sales representative, preferably in the building products or construction industry.
Strong understanding of the building products market and the needs of contractors, builders, and homeowners.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet sales goals.
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
Valid driver’s license
